ClaimID Facebook Application
July 5th, 2007 - Fred StutzmanWe’re pleased to announce that we’ve built a ClaimID application for Facebook. This simple application will display your verified ClaimID account (verified with OpenID) on your Facebook profile, allowing people who visit your profile to have a trusted link to your ClaimID page. Here’s what the app (when added) looks like:

And yes - its been a little quiet here for the past month, but with a wedding and international travel, we’ve been busy! But we’re glad to be back with this new feature for Facebook users.

Awesome! Facebook is a big part of my internet “identity,” so it’s nice to see a bit of a bridge between the two that is prominent to my profile visitors.
One suggestion — can you folks make it so that adding this to my profile acts to “validate” it when I link to it in my claimID? That would be very handy.

Can you make the box resize itself for the left-hand column? It would be nice to have a small version.

Afree87 - I’ve done that. Refresh the app by visiting http://apps.facebook.com/claimid - you’ll pick up the new changes for resizing.
WRT Thomas suggestion, we’ll be implementing this, and we’ll be back-validating everyone who has added the app and successfully added.

I can not find away to verify my facebook entry with claimid. Is there away that the mircoid can be embedded with the application, since facebook does not allow you to add html code and what not anywhere?
(I just seen Thomas said the same thing, I third it!)
